Mentor Michigan Corporate Honor Roll

United Way is committed to supporting local mentoring programs. It has created a partnership with Mentor Michigan, a statewide initiative supported by First Gentleman Daniel Mulhern. Mentor Michigan believes that every child deserves an ongoing relationship with a caring adult and is working with mentoring programs statewide to make this happen. Mentor Michigan also recognizes companies that believe in mentoring by taking on the challenge of mentoring children.

By participating in Corporate Mentorship, your company has the opportunity to be formally recognized through Mentor Michigan’s Corporate Honor Roll. Each company will receive a proclamation from Governor Jennifer M. Granholm and a plaque to publicly recognize their commitment. The First Gentleman will also recognize the honorees in a press release and on the Mentor Michigan website (www.mentormichigan.org).

To be eligible for the Corporate Honor Roll, a company must have the following:

  1. An identified Corporate Ambassador
  2. Employees who are matched with mentees
  3. A written policy supporting mentoring

If you are already eligible for this honor, we encourage you to complete the nomination form at www.mentormichigan.org. If you are striving to reach these goals, Schools of Hope can help you! Contact Fritz Crabb, Director of Literacy Initiatives, at or 616.632.1001 for more information.
